Montreal artist Zilon, a familiar figure as a longtime street artist, musician, DJ and fashion designer, hosts a vernissage at the old port’s Galerie d’Art Loft for his exhibition Syncope, featuring 50 new paintings. 217 St-Laurent, 6 p.m., free

The 10th edition of four-day music festival M for Montreal begins tonight with three shows at the Rialto, headlined by CRi, the Franklin Electric and, playing a late show, Doldrums.
