Outer Limits of Animation 2013 

A few of the films at the Fantasia film festival are sold out for today, but you can still catch Takashi Miike’s Lessons of the Evil at the Imperial Theatre (1432 de Bleury) at 11:30 a.m., their Outer Limits of Animation 2013 program showcasing a selection of the year’s best animated short films (J.A. De Seve Theatre (1400 de Maisonneuve W.), 3:10 p.m.) and more.

On this final day of the Nuits d’Afrique festival, the Afriqu’en fête parade brings some spectacular visual and sonic stimulation to the Quartier des Spectacles. Leaves from St-Laurent metro (St-Laurent/de Maisonneuve), 4:50 p.m.

Zoofest can keep you busy this evening with any one of these shows: Franglos Comedy Show hosted by Sébastien Bourgault where Montreal French comics will perform in English (Espace des Arts (9 Ste-Catherine #101), 8:30 p.m., $23.67), Australian comic The Birdmann in The Events of Momentous Timing, a murder mystery (Cabaret du 4E- Monument National (1182 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $25.12), and Cameryn Moore’s slut (r)evolution (Katacombes (1635 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., $23.67).
