Oh, hey — it’s Expozine, the small press and zine fair. Today only, you can catch a bunch of free roundtable discussions featuring zine/small publishing vets (see our interview with punk zine icon Aaron Cometbus here). 5035 St-Dominique, 12–6 p.m.

Volatile Works celebrates their 10th anniversary with a screening party at Bar Populaire, feat. screenings of films by friends of the collective and a retrospective. 6584 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., suggested donation $5

Enjoy Tommy Wiseau’s 2003 masterpiece The Room on the big screen, a movie many consider to be the worst thing ever committed to film. J.A. de Sève Cinema (1400 de Maisonneuve W.), 8:15 p.m., $11/$13

RIDM celebrates the world premiere of Ariel, by local filmmaker Laura Bari, with drinks and dancing all night long. RIDM Headquarters (3450 St-Urbain), 10 p.m., free

Kings High promises to be a historic night for local hip hop as rappers CeasRock and Full Course launch new records (read our interview with both of them here) alongside host the Narcicyst, Simahlak on beats and openers L.E.S., Northern Lights and Mick Jenkins. Le Belmont (4483 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., $20
