Saturday’s wiener dog races at NDG’s Girouard Park were a big success. The warm weather and sunshine brought at least 100 wiener dogs out to compete in various categories: silly pet tricks, bobbing for cocktail wieners, best costume and four racing categories (puppies, seniors, handicapped dogs and all the other dogs). Crusoe the celebrity Dachshund came out as the race winner, if not the best costume.
