RIPA 2022 – Performance Art Exhibition

RIPA 2022 – Performance Art Exhibition

Thursday, Apr 28 , 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

RIPA – Rencontre interuniversitaire de performance actuelle – is an annual non-profit performance art exhibition.

The event aims to promote emerging performative practices from the Quebec university network and its neighbouring areas. Since 2012, RIPA has contributed to the development of Quebec’s performance networks by fostering exchanges between students, audiences, and the art community.

Based in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, the event provides a unique and accessible platform to present contemporary performance art in all of its diversity. RIPA acts as a laboratory, both practical and theoretical, and seeks to establish contacts between emerging and established communities. In a desire to experiment, its formula and team are renewed with each edition.

For the 2022 edition, RIPA is proud to welcome the following artists:

  • Jacqueline van de Geer (mentor artist)
  • Barbara Finck-Beccafico aka Wållgren
  • Erin Gee
  • Jad Orphée Chami & Noël Vézina
  • Lina Choi
  • Nana Quinn
  • Nina Vroemen
  • Pilar Escobar

The event will take place at the Salle polyvalente du Coeur des sciences de l’UQAM (200 rue Sherbrooke O, Montreal, QC).

Tickets are available for the in-person event as well as for the simultaneous livestream.
