For the first time, Fierté Montreal Pride will hold a drag race — which they’re calling the Crazy Race — with teams of merchants and community organizers headed by a drag queen who will make their way through an obstacle course and engage in condom-bagging competitions (in heels, of course). Ste-Catherine & Champlain, 6 p.m., free

Get your weekly dose of comedy tonight at Donair Cité with the 902 Comedy Show, hosted by Sucre à la Crème and featuring sets by Jon Selig, Jess Salomon, Eman, Shawn Stenhouse and more. 2070 St-Denis, 8 p.m., PWYC

Cinéma Sous les Étoiles sets up in Cabot Square for a screening of the 2014 documentary Déception Durable, a bilingual production about the similarities between the proposed Plan Nord of Québec and the Alberta oil sands project and the effects these large scale resource extraction projects have on the surrounding communities. Ste-Catherine & Atwater, 8:45 p.m., free

Toronto-based singer/songwriter David Porteous stops in Montreal’s Bar Pub St-Denis on his cross-Canada tour with proceeds going to support the Canadian Women’s Foundation. Opening the show will be Roxanne Potvin, bea boX and Sweet Roger. 6966 St-Denis, 9 p.m., PWYC

Bar le Ritz PDB hosts an evening of avant-garde films from the 1920’s, namely Dimitri Kirsanoff’s Menilmontant and Man Ray’s Emak-Bakia (Leave Me Alone), accompanied by a live score by Blake Hargreaves. 179 Jean-Talon W., 9:30 p.m., free
