The Montreal edition of Restaurant Day will see over 40 small-scale indie restos pop up in parks and alleyways all over the city, for one day only. Get the full list of restos on a handy map here, and check out our own curated round-up of options here. Various locations, 11 a.m.–11 p.m.

The Asian Arts Freedom School hosts a workshop led by hip hop artist Peggy Hogan (Hua Li) called Music Makes You Lose Control: Identity Sculpting and Community Building Through Hip-Hop. 1500 de Maisonneuve W. #204, 1 p.m., free

Fierté Montreal Pride’s annual parade sends the shirtless, butt-less-chapped, rainbow-clad, glitter-sprinkled LGBT float dancers and noisemakers down René-Lévesque from Guy to Sanguinet, followed by a dance party at Place Émilie-Gamelin. Departing from René-Lévesque & Guy at 1 p.m., free

In response to the situation in Ferguson, MI, Anonymous has called for protests outside cop stations. And so a vigil is taking place in front of the Fraternité des policiers et policières de Montréal, in solidarity with the citizens of that American town, and victims of police violence everywhere. 480 Gilford, 6 p.m.
