Head to the Cinémathèque québécoise for a screening of local director J. Deeh’s newly cut and remastered film Affinity Point, part of his Montreal trilogy. 335 de Maisonneuve E., 2:30 p.m., $8

If you’re looking for more movie options this weekend, we highly recommend Denis Villeneuve’s Enemy, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as a pair of dopplegangers — read our article about the film (feat. an interview with Villeneuve) here. If high-speed action is what you crave, Need for Speed is a racing/road movie with great performances (primarily by Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, who plays the lead) and tight cinematography — read our review here. Look for theatre locations and showtimes here.

Roots reggae, dub, classic dancehall, cumbia, island funk and calypso are what DJs Mossman and Spoon-Bee have in store at Top Rankin. Inspecteur Épingle (4051 ), 10 p.m., $5

WeFunk Radio presents DJs Waahli, Professor Groove and Ruby Jane, spinning hip hop, funk and reggae at le Bleury Bar à Vinyle. 2109 Bleury, 10 p.m., $7
