Léger: “A curfew is a bad decision, one that especially penalizes young people”

31% of 18 to 34-year-olds already have poor mental health linked to the pandemic.

Léger President Jean-Marc Léger released a statement regarding the curfew that was eventually confirmed by Francois Legault later in the day. Léger referred to the curfew in Quebec as a bad idea that primarily affects the mental health of young people, aged 18 to 34.

In order to curb hospitalizations in Quebec, Premier François Legault announced the implementation of a 10 p.m. curfew, the closure of in-room dining at restaurants and a ban on all private gatherings, starting tomorrow.
