Head to Théâtre Fairmount for the launch party of Urbania’s special cannabis-themed 44th issue. Shaida and Kilojules will be providing tunes, and the entry fee includes a copy of the issue plus a free drink. 5240 Parc, 6–9 p.m., $20

The annual welcome-back-to-autumn festival OUMF ramps up this evening with free outdoor show next to UQAM, with performances by Samito, Zen Bamboo, la Bronze, Corridor, Marie-Pierre Arthur, I.D.A.L.G. and Rednext Level. St-Denis and de Maisonneuve, 7–11 p.m., free, continues through Saturday

A pretty rad double tape launch party is going down tonight, including a split A/B side from Loon and Best Fern at Phonopolis (207 Bernard W., 8 p.m., $5 or $10 with tape) and a long-player cassette from the Submissives with guests Phern, André Charles Thériault and Bucket Hat Pat over at Club Balattou (4372 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $7).

Chinatown lounge Luwan (which appears to have reopened after announcing their closure a few months back) is hosting 7 Inches of Pleasure tour, the fourth annual all-vinyl fall tour featuring DJ Scratch (EPMD), Mat The Alien, Vinyl Richie, DJ Illo and an opening set by Scott C. 1050 Clark, 9 p.m., free
