Al Pacino Scarface (640x423)
Al Pacino

It’s the final day of Collectif Blanc’s three-day Villeray art fair Newspaper Edition, focused on rare and vintage newspapers, plus new works on paper by local artists. Café Oui Mais Non (72 Jarry E.), 10 a.m.–10 p.m., free

It’s also the final day of Queens Creation, an all-female hip hop culture festival in Verdun. Today’s programming features live street art and b-girl dance battles (3966 Wellington, 1–6 p.m.) as well as the last day for Canadian Bacon, a group show with more than 30 artists including Jason Botkin, Astro and Naïmo (620 St-Paul W., 12–7 p.m., free).

Al Pacino is in town today, receiving the key to the city and taking in the big Grand Prix with Mayor Coderre before getting on stage at Place des Arts’s Salle Wilfrid Pelletier for An Evening With Al Pacino. What exactly that will entail, we’re not sure, but shouty storytelling is guaranteed. 175 Ste-Catherine W., 7:30 p.m., $72–$1,557

Catch singer-songwriter Emma Frank (voted #3 Best Jazz Act in this year’s Best of MTL readers poll), performing as part of the Segal Centre’s Power Jazz Series, accompanied by Isis Giraldo, Marc Béland, Gab Drolet and Simon Millerd. 5170 Côte-Ste-Catherine, 8 p.m., $25–$30

Get ready to laugh at the first ever #MTLUndercover Comedy Festival, beginning tonight and running for the next four nights at Bifteck. Tonight’s comics are Tommy Marshall, Jacy Lafontaine, Morgan O’Shea and Scott Andrew Carter, with hosts Ryan Bannon and Kris Dulgar. 3702 St-Laurent (upstairs), 8 p.m., $5

As part of the ongoing Suoni per il Popolo festival, composer/saxophonist Matana Roberts presents her critically adored latest album River Run Thee, the third chapter in her Coin Coin series of records about her ancestors and the larger story of Africans in America. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $10
