Montreal’s got a new music festival premiering this summer at Parc Jean Drapeau: Île Soniq, brought to us by  Evenko, the same team behind Osheaga and Heavy Montreal. Île Soniq will happen on Aug. 15 and 16, and feature big names from the realms of electronic dance music and hip hop. Here’s the line-up:

Headlining the event is Dutch DJ Tiësto, who’ll be releasing an album (A Town Called Paradise) on June 16.

Local duo Adventure Club will present an “exclusive special production” with their DJs guests Snails, Botnek, the Chainsmokers and 3LAU.

Big-time Israeli trance act Infected Mushroom will play live along with the 3D projection they brought to Coachella, FungusAmongUs.

Australian-born American-ized rapper Iggy Azalea will take the PJD stage, only a few months after selling out the Corona — see our photo gallery from that show here.

Also on the hip hop tip, Memphis rapper Juicy J (of Three 6 Mafia fame) and Tyga, who’s reportedly working with Kanye West on his upcoming LP, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.

Other acts booked at the inaugural edition of Île Soniq include Bingo Players, Cash Cash, Dillon Francis, DJ Pierre, Jessie Andrews, Riva Starr, Tim Mason and Zed’s Dead. More artists will be announced soon. ■
