Montreal Fashion Week continues. Today kicks off the chic pop-up Boutique Éphémère, which brings together fashion week brands to let you buy directly from local designers. 480 Ste-Catherine W., 10 a.m.–9 p.m., free entry

The MainLine Theatre launches its next season. Check out the program online here, and celebrate with a 5 à 7 cocktail at the theatre. 3997 St-Laurent, 5–7 p.m., free

Until Sept. 20, you can check out SAT Fest at the Société des arts technologiques. They’ll be showing a selection of the best immersive short films created at the SAT and their favourite international artworks. 1201 St-Laurent, Mon–Fri through to Sept. 20, 7 p.m., $16

Montreal’s Esmerine launch a record with solid support from Matana Roberts and Kingdom Shore. La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $14

The PHI Centre has an advance screening of Adore, the new Anne Fontaine flick starring Naomi Watts and Robin Wright, about two childhood friends who as adults fall in love with each other’s sons. 407 St-Pierre, 9 p.m., $11.25
