Swing by a double book launch at Monastiraki, as Conundrum Press introduces new books by Joe Ollmann and Lorenz Peter. 5478 St-Laurent, 7–9 p.m., free

The super-fun annual Riot Grrl Band-Off features local ladies covering iconic female-led groups, with proceeds donated to Rock Camp for Girls. This year, catch Doppelbanger, Heathers, Ruff Talons and Studfinder. Brasserie Beaubien (73 Beaubien E.), 9:30 p.m., $5–$10/PWYC
