Sean Penn in This Must Be the Place

The PHI Centre screens This Must Be the Place, starring Sean Penn as an aging goth dude searching for his father’s killer, a Nazi war criminal. The oddball dramatic comedy also stars Frances McDormand, Judd Hirsch and Harry Dean Stanton, and features music by David Byrne. 407 St-Pierre, 7:30 p.m., $11.25

Catch some ’90s nostalgia as Camp Lo brings down le Belmont, with openers Leaving for LA and David Hodges. 4483 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $25

It’s opening night for an all-Canadian production of Bliss, an acclaimed play about a mystical oracle in a Walmart, in town through the end of the week. Théâtre aux Écuries (7285 Chabot), 8:30 p.m., $22–$25

Test your brain at the second week of Korova’s new trivia night. Bring up to four friends with the most useless knowledge. Korova (3908 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $1 to play
