It’s day two of Founderie’s Beat the Clock sale, where every passing day you get a shrinking (but still solid) discount on store items. Today, everything’s on for 40 per cent off, tomorrow 30 per cent, and so on. Founderie (6596 St-Laurent), 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Check out new woodcuts, paintings and art cards by Sylvie and Devo, two Vancouver artists putting on a show in NDG. There’s no formal vernissage, but if you’re in the west end you’re invited to drop by, see some new and old works and drink a tallboy in the alley with other showgoers. Tonight is the inaugural edition of Switched Off Sound, a bi-weekly meeting place for sound artists, experimenters and synaesthetic explorers. Nothing Never Happens in Norway, a 2012 Fringe musical remount of Ibsen’s Rosmersholm and the Master Builder, is opening a week’s worth of shows as part of the Wildside Fest tonight.
