Music history archivist, DJ and educator Andy Williams offers a lecture-performance that weaves together narratives from the history of jazz connecting them with the themes of modernization and counterpoint that are raised in the exhibition Revealing Narratives by Stan Douglas.

Biography: Andy Williams
Talented DJ and art curator, Andy Williams is a performance artist and educator of all things music who has performed around the world. He recently curated a series of workshops on the history of jazz called, “Jazz as social history.” He regularly gives conferences in schools and universities. A music specialist, he is part of the Montréal duo Jazz Amnesty Sound System with Sweet Daddy Luv. Exceptional vinyl DJ and avid collector, Andy is a huge supporter of local talent, which he has showcased through the years during his events, DJ sets and radio shows on CKUT. An avid learner, he is always happy to share with everyone the incredible music he discovers. When possible, you can find him creating just the right mood and mixing it up with his vinyl collection in music venues.
