Articule hosts a book launch, discussion and exhibition of works by Montreal queer artists Jamie Ross and JJ Levine. Ross’s Rousings documents the making of a set of conceptual erotic videos, and Levine’s Queer Portraits and Switch feature collections of the artist’s photographs. 262 Fairmount W., 7 p.m., free

It’s the opening day of the Mutek festival, bringing an exciting range of electronic musicians, producers, DJs and digital artists to town to take part in five days of parties and art events.
