Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis in Some Like It Hot

Head to Eastern Bloc for a vernissage for the three-artist show Robotis Personae, in which robots get in touch with their organic sides. 7240 Clark, 2nd floor, 6 p.m., free

Tasteful Mile End men’s retailer Frank & Oak celebrate their one-year anniversary with a Windsor Social in their St-Viateur atelier. 160 St-Viateur W., 69 p.m., free

The conversation series University of the Streets Café is back for another season, launching its winter programming with a discussion at the Atwater Library on The Ethics of Virtual Choice. Questions on the table include how people make moral choices inside gaming environments, and to what extent (if any) a person’s in-game choices relate to their real life decision making. 1200 Atwater, 7 p.m. free

The Wiggle Room’s weekly Weird Ass Game Show is off tonight (something about its host coming down with syphilis), so instead they’re screening two classic films from the 1950s: Singin’ in the Rain and Some Like It Hot. Bonus: reasonable prices on amazing cocktails. 3874 St-Laurent, 7:30 p.m., free

Montreal singer, songwriter and producer James Irwin launches his new LP Unreal at la Sala Rossa — read about it, and his all-star-ish backing band, here. Openers are Alden Penner and Caro Diaro (aka Maica Mia’s Maica Armata). 4848 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $10

Jef Barbara plays a rare DJ set at Datcha, sharing the decks with DJ Jackson to bring you sounds and beats ranging from “mutant disco” to “bitch tracks.” 98 Laurier W., 9 p.m., free
