An impressive slate of 21st century pop art is on display and up for auction today at Iegor Auction House, including works by Mr. Brainwash, Kashink, Omen, 123Klan, Bryan Beyung and more. 870 du Couvent, viewing from 125 p.m., cocktail at 6 p.m., auction at 7:30 p.m., free entry

Free Press Libre hosts an anti-oppressive art performance night on the topic of #gamergate: online exclusion, real world hate at Café l’Artère, featuring artists Gina Haraszti, Frances Maychak, Mattias Graham (aka Corax) and more. 7000 Parc, 7 p.m., PWYC ($5 suggested)

The Book of Mormon, the musical comedy Broadway smash hit by South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone, begins its six-day run at Place des Arts. 175 Ste-Catherine W., 8 p.m., $25–$134

Montreal/Philadelphia-based band Shtreiml, who merge Eastern European Jewish and Turkish music with more contemporary western sounds, are launching Eastern Hora, their record made in collaboration with Turkish singer and oud player Ismail Fencioglu, with an opening solo set by Brigitte Briga Dagczer.
