Lost in the Trees

Christian Marclay’s The Clock, a fastidiously assembled supercut of timepieces in film, comes to Montreal through April 20. MAC (185 Ste-Catherine W.), 11 a.m.–6 p.m., $12/$8 students

The second annual Kanpe Kanaval aims to bring the spirit of Haitian carnival to Montreal, with a party featuring live music, DJs, dance, costumes, masks and more. Note that the hefty price tag is not a typo — it’s a benefit for Kanpe, a progressive Haitian aid organization. SAT (1201 St-Laurent), 7 p.m., $175 ($100 tax receipt/ticket)

“what the fuck am i doing here?” is an “anti-folk opera” about the student strikes and activist culture, created and performed by caytee lush. QPIRG Concordia (1500 de Maisonneuve W.), #204, 7 p.m., $2–$5 PWYC

Chapel Hill orchestral folk-pop band Lost in the Trees play Il Motore with Wisconsin’s All Tiny Creatures. 179 Jean-Talon W., 8 p.m., $12/$14

Jugs n’ Gents is this week’s burlesque showcase at the Wiggle Room, starring jazz-age bombshell Thea d’Ora (read about her in our February cover story, here), performers from Toronto and Ottawa and DJ Sidi Khalil spinning electro swing. 3874 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $20

At Salon Officiel’s weekly hip hop party Please Me, resident Mayday takes a breather, making way for Vincent Pryce B2B Tronald Trump all night, with host DL Jones. 351 Roy E., 10 p.m., free
