It’s NUIT BLANCHE!

Yes, it’s the climax of the Montréal en Lumière festival, the 10th edition of white night. Look here for music recommendations and  here for what’s happening with art exhibits and events, because this thing is just too big to navigate without your Cult MTL compass.

On the literary tip, Nuit Blanche proposes Montreal, City of Letters features a handful of Maisonneuve magazine writers reading their work, in both English and French. CCA (1920 Baile), 8–10 p.m., free

Film buffs have plenty of potential Nuit Blanche destinations, but for those reluctant to leave Mile End, Cinéma au Palais is screening some mysterious cinematic material at 7 p.m., 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., interspersed with DJ sets by Mike & Mitz, with bonus art work by Mark Isaac. Nouveau Palais (281 Bernard), free

Off the Nuit Blanche grid, but also in Mile End, DJs Mary Hell and Davidé man the wheels at Royal Phoenix, going softcore with a Bleu Nuit edition of The F Word. 5788 St-Laurent, 10 p.m., $5
