Highway Gospel at PHI Centre tonight

Read the Rantline™!

The PHI Centre’s Skate or Die series of skateboarding docs continues with Highway Gospel, the portrait of a riotous gang of B.C. Interior longboarders. A Bones Brigade-autographed board will once again be given away to a lucky winner after the screening. PHI Centre (407 St-Pierre), 7:30 p.m., $10

Get grim and gory for Halloween at No!, a haunted house/freak show/theatrical production promising an eyeful of psycho-sexual horror. It runs tonight through Oct. 31. Théâtre Ste-Catherine, 8 p.m., $20 (“to get out!”)

Check out the magical Richard Sanders. No, really, he’s magical — or a magician, at least. And reported to be funny. So, there are definitely worse ways to spend an evening and a dozen dollars. Comedy Nest (2313 Ste-Catherine; 3rd floor of AMC), 8:30 p.m., $12/$6 for students. Call (514) 932-6378 to reserve your spot

Soak in the classic (indie) rock sound of Winnipeg’s Departures and Cannon Bros, and locals Cinema l’Amour, at a classic indie rock price. Il Motore (179 Jean-Talon W.), 9 p.m., $5

Over the summer, teams of skaters and videographers from across Canada shot and edited entries for Connect the Dots, a skate video contest put on by Toronto’s King Shit magazine. And tonight, those videos will see their Montreal premiere. Cabaret Underworld (1403 Ste-Elizabeth), 9 p.m.

Phénomena presents Jacqueline van de Geer’s The Sleepwalker, a bilingual Dadaist music, theatre and marionette show. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., free
