Large majority of Canadians aged 18 to 34 have a negative opinion of Pierre Poilievre

Young Canadians favour Poilievre the least.

According to a study by the Angus Reid Institute, young Canadians favour Pierre Poilievre the least of all federal party leaders.

Just 33% of Canadians aged 18 to 34 have a positive opinion of the Conservative Party leader, significantly lower than those who say the same of Liberal Party leader Mark Carney (61%), NDP leader Jagmeet Singh (39%) and Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet (63%).

A large majority of Canadians aged 18 to 34 (66%) say they have a negative opinion of Pierre Poilievre. A majority of Canadians aged 35 to 54 (56%) and 55+ (58%) say the same. Nationwide, Poilievre’s unfavourability sits at 60%.
