Downtown Montreal has seen a stronger recovery in foot traffic than both Toronto and Vancouver

“A reminder that Montreal has a world-class downtown.”

According to a report on foot traffic in Canada by Avison Young, downtown Montreal has seen a stronger recovery in its number of visitors than both downtown Toronto and Vancouver.

Visitors to downtown Montreal are currently at 93.2% of their pre-pandemic numbers, significantly higher than Toronto (61.1%) and Vancouver (58.9%).

Glenn Castanheira, general manager of Montréal centre-ville, made the announcement, saying that this is “a reminder that Montreal has a world-class downtown.”
