Quebecers empathy COVAX Canada vaccination

Quebecers have the most empathy when it comes to Canada’s international vaccination efforts

The least supportive provinces are Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and Alberta.

A study by the Angus Reid Institute has confirmed that the plurality of Canadians believe it’s now time for Canada to focus vaccination efforts on less wealthy countries. Two-thirds of Quebecers (64%) reported that they want Canada to shift efforts to vaccinating people in less wealthy countries, showing more collective empathy than respondents in any other province.

The provinces least supportive of international vaccination efforts at this time are Saskatchewan (31%), New Brunswick and Alberta (36%).

“Wealthier countries are beginning to administer third and fourth doses, as nearly 40% of the world’s population has yet to receive a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine.”
