3 in 5 Canadians think businesses should have the right to refuse unvaccinated people

Should businesses be allowed to limit access to people who have a proof of vaccination?

According to a new poll by Leger Marketing, roughly 3 in 5 people in Canada believe that private business owners should have the right to limit access to their business to people who have valid proof of vaccination (provided the Government of Canada achieves its vaccination goal).

The highest percentage of Canadians agreed that spa and beauty salon owners (61%), gym owners (60%), concert halls or movie theatre owners (59%) and restaurant and bar owners (58%) should have the right to limit entry to vaccinated people. The lowest percentage of respondents agree that non-essential store or mall owners (50%) should have this right.

Conversely, fewer than half of Americans think that private business owners should have the right to limit access to their business to people who have valid proof of vaccination.
