Today is the last day for inaugural summer sidewalk sales across the city. Check out local goods and services at Vente trottoir on Mont-Royal Avenue and Promenade Wellington in Verdun. 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Montreal-based clothing brand Laugh by Lafaille hosts a Spring Fling pop-up sale this weekend at WhiteWall Studio. Tattoos, live music, and other local brands will also be onsite. 4532 Laval, 12 p.m.–5 p.m.

The Redpath Museum is showing a series of documentary films all summer long, starting this week with a screening of Maya Angelou And Still I Rise. For more info on the upcoming films, you can check out the summer program here. 859 Sherbrooke W, 2:30 p.m., free

Just ahead of the first week of Fringe Fest is a special Fringebuzz Throwback Event: Dramaturkey. Head down to Annexe St-Ambroise where there will be live readings of the worst scenes written by local playwrights. 5080 St-Ambroise, 3 p.m.–5 p.m., free

The Suoni per il Popolo festival presents Black Ark, a collection of obscure classical works by black American composers from the 1920s through the 1960s. A discussion of the work will be followed by a performance. La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent), 3:30 p.m., free

A solid lineup of TV Girl, Infinity Crush and ggpeach play Bar le Ritz PBD. 179 Jean-Talon, 8 p.m., $12/$15
