Nomadic Massive

Check out the 20th edition of the annual Festival d’Expression de la Rue at Place Pasteur, a three-day platform of self-expression for at-risk youth living in Montreal, with performances, workshops, info kiosks and vendors with a focus on street culture and developing and showcasing talent and skills among youth. 1430 St-Denis, 3–11 p.m., free

The Festival Nuits d’Afrique is offering a big, free lineup tonight at the Parterre du Quartier des Spectacles, featuring hip-hop fusion faves Nomadic Massive, fresh from the June launch of their new album The Big Band Theory, followed by a performance from the impressive acrobats of Afrique en Cirque. Tonight’s free film screening in Park Dante features Marinoni, a brand-new documentary following the champion cyclist and bicycle designer as the now 75-year-old attempts to set a world speed record on the bike he built himself 40 years earlier. Parc Dante, corner Dante and de Gaspé, 9 p.m., free
