Daniel Carin and Chris Sandiford, who host Shäika Café’s weekly Ladies and Gentlemen Comedy Show, take over ComedyWorks for three nights. Tonight’s line-up includes Tranna Wintour, Serag Meletian, Dion Owen, Wassim El-Mounzer and Mariam Khan. 1238 Bishop, 8:30 p.m., $15

Presented by Zoofest/Off-JFL, Mont-Royal Rumble III pits Mike Paterson’s Baby-Faced homeboy team (the good guys) against Stephen Spinola’s American Patriots (the bad guys, natch) in a bilingual comedy battle, to be judged by pro wrestlers. The trash-talking has already begun, and action starts tonight and continues through Saturday. Théâtre Sainte Catherine (264 Ste-Catherine E.), 10 p.m., $13.62 (taxes in)

Perfecto’s weekly post-punk/goth/new wave/synth wave/EBM dance party — Imperfecto — goes down tonight, with DJs László, Fantôme, Cold Hands and Beleuchtung Von Jupiter. 20 Duluth E., 10 p.m., free

The M for Montreal music festival, which happens in November, presents M pour Minuit at Katacombes, showcasing local alt/rock bands Gazoline and Corridor. 1635 St-Laurent, 12:30 a.m., $5
