Wondering what’s open and closed today? Pretty much everything is open, though some establishments are closing a little earlier than usual, like certain banks (BMO’s closing at 3 p.m.), most grocery stores (5 p.m.) and the SAQ (5 p.m., 7 p.m. for SAQ Express). Mail is being delivered, but garbage/recycling pick-up vary from borough to borough over the next few days — find details about that and other city services here.

Take a break from last-minute Christmas shopping or escape the whole Xmas thing entirely by stepping into Grévin, Montreal’s wax museum. (Did you know Montreal had a wax museum?)  Most of its likenesses are eerily accurate works of art that are very much worth a visit, and the ambiance is something special, too. You will trip.
