Today’s edition of Chez Boris After Dark (#CBAD) doubles as a vernissage for the skateboard art exhibition Escape Bored vol. 2, featuring 16 artists including Bosny, Miss Teri, Aliss, Wolfe Girardin Jodoin and more, with painted skate decks, zines and T-shirts from Get Born, Visual Pollution and more, plus the #CBAD special menu of chicken or veg quesadillas. 5151 Parc, #CBAD from 6 p.m., vernissage 8–11 p.m., free

Vintage sneaker lovers will want to head over to Artgang tonight for a one-night only exhibition called Shopsports: Anatomy of a Sneaker Store hosted in collaboration with the Sneakershigh. On display will be vintage sneakers from Nike, Reebok and Adidas, plus memorabilia, fashion and collectibles, with DJs Walla P and Pro-V on decks. 6524 St-Hubert, 7 p.m.–12 a.m., $15/$10 in advance

Head to Matahari Loft for the season’s first Art Battle, a night of competitive live painting, where 12 artists, including MC Baldassari, Abraham Garay and Veronica Dragnef, create new works in 20 minute rounds while the audience votes on their favourites and can place bids for the works in a silent auction. Tonight’s winner will qualify for next spring’s provincial finals featuring artists from cities across Quebec. 1673 Mont-Royal E., 7:30 p.m., $15/$10 in advance.

Montreal hip hop artist Narcy (aka the Narcicyst) and his group the Medium presents Narcinerama, a major show at Place des Arts wherein he’ll be playing his latest album World War Free Now with a pack of guest musicians from the local scene, plus opener Manu Militari.
