Whether or not you own a Guy Fawkes mask, you may want to join Anonymous Montreal’s demo in Philips Square today: Hands Up Don’t Shop. Ste-Catherine & Aylmer, 1 p.m.

Alternately (or after the demo), take time out for a leisurely stroll around the Quartier des Spectacles for the interactive outdoor projections that make up the Luminothérapie exhibition, including retro carnival-themed projections, colourful pivoting prisms and a game zone outside St-Laurent metro. Instagram photos using the hashtags #luminotherapie #contest for a chance to win $100 worth of event tickets. Quartier des Spectacles, projection map here. Nightfall to 1 a.m.

Check out Jeunesse Cosmique’s Merry Krautmas and a bad psyché New Year VI with Speed Guru, R U REAL, Così e Così, Sebastian Trafalgar, Black Givre & Sonya Stefan and Queseran Pasaran. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 8:45 p.m., $5

Or see youthOfNausea’s minimal synth, synth punk and experimental electro at Permanent Wave vol. 12, featuring Chicago acts Gel Set and Matchess, and Montrealers Marie Davidson and les temps liquides (feat. members of Police des Moeurs). Bistro de Paris (4536 St-Denis), 9 p.m., $5/$10 sliding scale

Mr. Slut and DJ Dino Secondino are hosting Boxing Day Delight tonight at Notre Dame des Quilles, spinning post-punk, EBM, coldwave, industrial, techno and disco. 32 Beaubien E., 9:30 p.m., free
