These volleyballers just raised $40K for sex-ed

Though the weather forecast called for storms, the sun (mostly) shone down on Serve!, Head and Hands’ annual fundraiser for their sex-ed program, the Sense Project. The organization’s beach volleyball tournament at Parc Jeanne Mance features teams made up of workers from 29 local bars and restaurants, and beer and BBQ on the side for the spectators.

Though the team from Sweet Treats won the tournament, Grumpy’s raised the most money for Head and Hands. Thanks to the teams and the food and drink sales in the park, the Sense Project is nearly $40,000 richer.
