Artist Pavel Pavlov presents on his projects about Montreal’s suburban areas, as part of the CCA’s ongoing ABC:MTL series of workshops, talks and exhibits. Canadian Centre for Architecture (1920 Baile), 7–8 p.m., free

The Festival of Films on Art opens tonight with a screening of The Fatwa: Salman’s Story, about author Salman Rushdie’s life after being sentenced to death for blasphemy by the Iranian religious regime.
