It’s Cinqo de Mayo and local Spanish-language rapper Boogat is playing a free 5à7 launch show for his new record Neo-Reconquista, with a band and guests Pierre Kwenders and Heavy Soundz. Théâtre Fairmount (5240 Parc), 5 p.m., free

Concordia’s VAV Gallery presents a vernissage tonight for the group show Art Industrialized, featuring art related to mass production, mechanization and other markers of industrialization. 1395 René-Lévesque W., 6–9 p.m., free

It’s another special digestible week in Montreal, this time with the focus on cocktails. Head to l’Auberge Saint-Gabriel tonight for the opening of Montreal’s cocktail week, Invasion Cocktail. 426 St-Gabriel, 6–10 p.m., $60

Montreal synth-rock band Hologramme is launching their self-titled debut album at Divan Orange, and like tonight’s other launch, it’s a free show. 4234 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., free
