A slate of local designers who work in the Grover building host a four-day Christmas market beginning today, with offerings from Josiane Peron, OÖM Ethikwear, Sokoloff Lingerie and more. 2025–2065 Parthenais, 11 a.m.–9 p.m., free

Studio XX teams up with Media@McGill to launch a new issue of In Circulation, McGill’s art history magazine, as well as a new group exhibit, Contingent: Only If Participation Occurs featuring presentations from the artists and curators. 4001 Berri, #201, 5–9 p.m., free before 7 p.m., $5 suggested after

Comedian Walter J. Lyng presents the fifth annual Hilarious Holiday Hoedown, featuring Leighland Beckman, Stephen Trepanier, Chris Sandiford and Lyng. All proceeds go to the NDG Food Depot. Wheel Club (3373 Cavendish), 8 p.m., $5 (or two non-perishable food items)
