Flosstradamus

It’s the first day to check out It Matters How You Get There, a week-long series of site-specific, politically engaged installations set up in venues around St-Henri by a progressive undergrad fine art workshop. Check out their website for more info about times and locations.

The Red Herring crew’s semi-annual comedy night is going big, with its first stand-up event at the Sala. Headliner is out-of-towner Chris Locke, plus a long list of local talents; Matt Leavitt emcees. La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $10

Résonance offers the third installation of its reading series, featuring Melissa Bull, Alex Manley, Devon Welsh and Rachel Wyatt. There will also be a contemporary classical performance, of the cycle Five Mannequin Songs on Poems by Klara Du Plessis, by composer Clio Montrey. 5175A Parc, 9 p.m., $5
