Quebec is still the most anti-Trump province in Canada

Just 17% of Quebecers would support Donald Trump if they could vote in the U.S. presidential election.

According to a new study by Léger, just 21% of Canadians would support Donald Trump if they could vote in the U.S. presidential election, including just 17% in Quebec, where support for Trump is lowest. Support for Trump is highest in Alberta (29%).

Conversely, 64% of Canadians would support Kamala Harris in the election, including 72% of Quebecers.

The study also found that support for Trump is lowest among NDP (5%), Bloc Québécois (5%) and Liberal (8%) voters, and highest among Conservatives (45%).

According to a separate study by the Angus Reid Institute, Donald Trump’s net favourability in Canada sits at -58%, 97 points lower than that of Kamala Harris (+39%).

The Léger web survey was conducted from October 18 to 21, 2024, with 1,562 Canadians, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from LEO’s online panel.
