Governor General of Canada Julie Payette has just resigned

Former astronaut Julie Payette has just resigned as Governor General of Canada following the delivery of a report earlier today regarding harassment allegations by her staff. A number of people came forward last summer with claims of verbal abuse, harassment and an overall toxic workplace environment. Justin Trudeau has yet to respond to the resignation of Julie Payette.
