Place Bell in Laval will be housing COVID-19 patients

Laval is now Canada’s COVID-19 epicentre

Laval has more cases of COVID-19 than Montreal per 100,000.

The city of Laval now has 4,950 cases of COVID-19. Ninety residents have died at one CHSLD alone, Sainte-Dorothée, and at one point 90 per cent of patients there had COVID-19. There is currently a class-action lawsuit against the nursing home.

“The government should do an in-depth analysis of what happened,” according to Marc Demers, the mayor of Laval. Laval now has more cases of COVID-19 than Montreal, per 100,000. More details to follow after today’s press conference with Premier Legault.
