Local band Strange Froots headlines a Halloween Hip Hop Bash at l’Artère, raising funds to pay their way to Dakar, Senegal to shoot a documentary next year. Snack N Blues marks Halloween weekend with a theme party paying tribute to the 1979 cult classic film The Warriors, with live music by Felbarr (that’s local musician Michael Felber and members of the Barr Brothers) plus “DJs, dancing, hocus pocus, high fives and costume prizes.” 5260 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $5
