Montreal’s celebrities took to the pitch Wednesday at the Canadiens’ Bell Sports Complex in Brossard as part of a fundraising event for Community Cares and the Tyndale-St. Georges Community Centre. The soccer game was also the kick-off of the 2015 edition of the GOAL MTL football invitational (happening on July 26), wherein reps from local bars and restaurants (as well one VIP team) play in a 24-team tournament to raise money for the community programs and compete to win the Lions Cup.
Celebrities who participated in yesterday’s VIP game included actor Marc-André Grondin, Olympians Charles & Francois Hamelin, Paul Desbaillets of Burgundy Lion and Brit & Chips, Park Restaurant chef Antonio Park, rapper Cadence Weapon and rock bro Jonas Tomalty:
