Station Ho.st is throwing a DVD release party for Thanatomorphose, that creepy decomposing flesh flick that was screened at Fantasia last year. 1494 Ontario, 6 p.m., free

In conjunction with the Howl! Arts Festival, Cinema Politica screens Hi-Ho Mistahey!, profiling Shannen’s Dream, a national youth-driven campaign striving for quality education for First Nations communities. The screening is followed by a discussion with director Alanis Obomsawin. D.B. Clarke Theatre (1455 de Maisonneuve W.), 7 p.m., suggested donation $2–$5
