Cinema Politica, in collaboration with Israel Apartheid Week Montreal, screens Fragments of Palestine, a documentary that looks at the Israeli-Palestinian situation through the eyes of three young people from Palestine, Israel and the U.K. D.B. Clarke Theatre (1455 de Maisonneuve W.), 7 p.m., suggested donation $2–$5

Les Francouvertes, the annual battle of the francophone bands, presents a mixed bag of up-and-coming music vedettes in a nice room that you probably don’t get to enough. Someurland (electro ballads), Mathias Mental (pop/rock) and P.A.P.A. (hip hop) play Lion d’Or. 1676 Ontario E., 8 p.m., $10
