Marie-Hélène Delorme is Foxtrott, a solo project (performed live as a duo) that has been gracing local stages since 2011. Her debut LP, A Taller Us, the follow-up to her Shields EP, will be out next year.

5 favourite 2013 things:

I wrote and finished my first record (LP), which took a lot of time in 2013!!!!! I travelled the south of Italy and hung out in the heel of the boot, it was amazingggg. A bunch of young hip hop producers from Montreal have started really shining internationally. My good friend Khoa Le released his feature documentary Ba Noi, which is an amazing piece of art. (I worked on the soundtrack.) I got a really nice food processor for my birthday, and now I can officially make EVERYTHING I WANT.

Holiday plans?

Spending time with my family in Montreal and in the countryside. working on a few remixes and tracks for early 2014. The holidays are ideal to stay in and work on music; there is a very special feel to it. Magical!

NYE 2013:

I will be in Florida, celebrating with my loved ones and taking a little breather before 2014 starts. I have a feeling it’s going to be quite busy.

Best NYE ever:

I will skip the trashy stories ;) ■
