Concordia’s SIPA Short Works theatre fest offers 20–40-minute-long productions created entirely by undergrads. The seventh annual A Varning From Montreal festival of dark, heavy music brings over a dozen bands from Sweden, New York, Ontario and our own city to Katacombes, right through Sunday. Because his previous DJ nights Overdose and Kink were so fondly remembered, DJ Frigid’s back behind the decks in the Village. Jeudis Frigid brings “erotico-electro-disko-punk” to Apollon. 1450 Ste-Catherine E., 10 p.m., $4
