If you’re still reeling over godspeed’s win this week, you might want to attend the Polaris Salon: 2013 In Review. Moderated by Polaris founder Steve Jordan, the event will feature a panel of local jurists including Cult MTL’s Erik Leijon discussing this year’s picks and making predictions for 2014. Film Pop offers An evening with Ian Svenonius, frontman for Nation of Ulysses, the Make-Up, Weird War and currently Chain and the Gang, author, journalist, DJ and host of Vice’s talk show Soft Focus. They’ll screen his short film, launch his new book there’ll be a Q&A session. Quartiers Pop (3450 St-Urbain), 7 p.m., $8

As featured on the cover of our latest newspaper (and here), hit pop-songwriter The-Dream is bringing his R&B/hip hop steez to Olympia, as part of Pop Montreal. Openers are Mozart’s Sister and Team Rockit. 1004 Ste-Catherine E., 7 p.m., $40/$45
