Mozart’s Sister, Party Like It’s 1699

It’s the last weekend of the Fringe Festival check out our hot picks.

Boro Clothing and Fake are launching their new collab today, which means they’re also having a party at the Fake store, where Walla-P and Simahlak will be DJing. 72 Rachel E., 1–8 p.m.

Mado’s annual Drag Race pitts drag queens against fringesters in a series of challenges. Fringe Park (corner of St-Laurent and Rachel), 4–6 p.m., bilingual, free

Party Like It’s 1699 presents a digital fantasy opera as part of the Montreal Baroque Festival, co-produced by POP Montreal. It’s a mix of 18th century instruments, electronics, performances by Syngja, Mozart’s Sister & a digititized cast of 40+, with harpsichord suites by D’EON and readings from Irina Lazareanu, Ashley Obscura and Guillaume Morissette. Théâtre St-James (265 St-Jacques W.), readings at 10:30 p.m., opera 11–11:59 p.m., $30 / $10 limited tickets at Phonopolis.

CFC’s monthly electronic dance night Elevator keeps it local with resident duder Smoked Meat Fax Machine, Lazer Falcon and Crayon Industry. 6388 St-Hubert, 10:30 p.m., $5
