Passeport Dare-Dare  sends you on a wild chase around the hidden, unseen corners of Quartier des spectacles collecting new works and original passport “stamps” from 15 local artists. Next to St-Laurent metro station (10 de Maisonneuve East), 12–5 p.m., $20–$25

The first annual Villa Maria Music & Arts Festival rolls on today with tons of bands, an early brunch/pot-luck and a late BBQ. 1601 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, 2 p.m., free before 11 p.m.

Le Cinéclub: The Film Society screens the Buster Keaton classic The General with live music and guest Gerald Potterton who directed the Hollywood legend The Railrodder (1966). Westmount Park United Church (4695 De Maissoneuve W.), 7:30 p.m., $12 or $9 for students or 65+

Sight & Sound festival presents OHM IV, a site-specific performative environment brought to life by Future Archaeology. Rooms are covered in a metallic tape that activitate electric currents. Spectators are invited to touch the floors and walls, thereby generating low-voltage currents and sound-generated motions. Eastern Bloc (7240 Clark), 8 p.m.

Cinémathèque Québécoise screens Ken Loach’s It’s a Free World…, about an ambitious working class British woman trying to set up her own business. Cinémathèque Québécoise (335 De Maisonneuve), 9 p.m.

The One Man Band Festival mounts its most impressive bill yet, with Books on Tape, the Lonesome Organist, Laura Barrett, Delta Will and the World Provider. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $12
